I’m a sophomore in high school, so i’ve got some time, but I really need Gold Award ideas. I would love to do something that has to do with underprivileged kids and the arts, maybe music, or painting, but I need ideas!
Something that sparked my idea is call The 1841 Project (look it up on facebook!). My best friend created it, they collect suitcases for 18 year-old leaving foster homes. They do bake sales to get money, so any ideas on how to get money to fund the project?
I was thinking about maybe getting donation to purchase cheap-mp3 players to donate to kids in foster homes, loaded with music. would that be a good idea? thanks!

You need something that is yours from start to finish. Why not set up art classes at your local library, for preteens. Teach the class one or two times a week.
